This is the official site of the Wraysbury Village Club and Institute. The purpose of the site is to provide information for existing members, prospective members and guests.
The Club was founded in May 1894 as a workingmen's club and institute and received its first license to sell alcohol in 1933. It is located at the heart of the village of Wraysbury some 3 miles from Staines and is surrounded by the Cricket, Tennis and Bowls Clubs, the Wraysbury Windmill, the Scout Hut, the Village Halls, and the Wraysbury Football pitches.
The Club exists for the benefit of its members and is a registered Friendly Society with affiliation to the Club & Insitute Union (CIU). It has a democratic constitution which assures fair play at all times.
The active Management Committee ensures The Club and its facilities are maintained to a high standard, the bar is well stocked and its members and guests are always given a warm welcome. |
